This carrier is good for short carries out of the water, but we recommend a linen sling for longer dry land carrying. Tested to 40 pounds.
If you want a long tail to use as a baby cover (for shade or nursing), order your usual size. If you don't want to deal with the tail fabric in the water, consider going shorter than your usual length.
